I am well rounded and educated.  I believe in the science that has predicted today’s climate change phenomena since the 1970’s.  I see the proliferation of single-use plastics for the purpose of record-breaking profits by big corporations.  I see a world that is being turned over to authoritarianism and greed.  I see a world that is unfair to far too many.  So now I’m running for MP to stand up to a better place to live.

My background, like the Party, is rich and diversified.  I’ve lived in Marpole since 2021.  For a living I currently drive a shuttle bus for Translink, perform in film and on stage, do computer-aided drafting, own a couple rentals, and do the occasional second-hand retail (don’t throw it away!)  I’ve been a massage therapist, yoga instructor, maintenance man, and more.  I’m not a wealthy man and no corporate execs are ever going to invite me to dinner; I’m an average man that worked for what he has.

I am a people server, experienced in customer service and served on the volunteer boards of condominiums and congregations as vice president and treasurer, respectively.  I’ve organized community cleanups and advocated for clean energies.  Being “green” is just common sense to me, and being tough about it is what I will bring to the table.

Canada is not in a great position these days, but what we have going for us is that we are Canada.  We’re rich in natural resources, diversified with hard workers, and respected as a democratic and free county.  Let’s not let that go!  I stand for our obligations, be they the treaties with first nations or spending 2% minimum on our defence.  I stand for our economy, be it aligning ourselves with new trade allies or getting a fair contribution from wealthy and corporate taxpayers.  And I stand for our resources, be it the air we breathe or the precious minerals in the ground.  What’s Canada’s is ours; let’s protect it with knowledge, strength, and unity.
