Six people of diverse backgrounds in a collaborative protest, surrounding a circle saying "Change, Vote for it".

With experience working in the non-profit field and six years as a director for a non-profit housing organization, Carrie has gained invaluable insights into the difficulties of finding homes for individuals with complex needs. This experience deepened her commitment to ensuring that everyone has access to safe, stable, and affordable housing.

Carrie holds a business degree from Capilano University and currently works in co-operative housing management, where she collaborates with boards and serves hundreds of members. She also brings her experience in small business finance to her work, as well as experience serving on her own Co-op housing board. Recognizing the diverse nature of co-op communities, Carrie provides personalized support tailored to meet the needs of her clients, and passes these skills on to new staff as a member of the staff support and development team.

Carrie has run in previous elections, at the City, Provincial and Federal level as a staunch supporter of secure affordable housing, GLI, and preventative planning and adaptation to changes in the climate.

“Fires, heat domes, flooding and other disasters cause hardship and homelessness. I want to see good ideas introduced and followed through with, not just tossed aside because it may not be popular or get fewer votes next election. Longer-term planning is needed: improved healthcare, education and assistance for those left behind. We need resilient people and communities to move forward and I would bring my experience with me to make that happen.”

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
