As a scholar and activist focusing on socio-environmental citizenship and Green political theories, I bring a unique perspective both academically and professionally. Now in the second year of my doctoral studies at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, my research focuses on the intersections of environmental sustainability, participatory democracy, and social justice.

Within the Green Party of Canada, I serve as the Critic for Intergovernmental Affairs, Women, and Gender in the Shadow Cabinet, as well as Co-Chair of the International Secretariat. I have issued statements on behalf of the party advocating for the decriminalization of sex work and collective action on International Women’s Day. I also proposed a party policy calling for the rescinding of the Natural Resources Transfer Act.

Additionally, I took the initiative to relaunch the Women’s Caucus, implementing programs to promote gender equity and support women through mentorship, peer support, and a Women’s Caucus Podcast.

As Co-Chair of the GPC International Secretariat, I work to strengthen our connections with the Federación de Partidos Verdes de las Américas (FPVA) and the Global Greens. Within the Global Greens, I actively contribute to the Biodiversity and Climate Working Groups and the Strengthening Democracy Network.

In my role as Ontario Chair of the Security and Defence wing of G100, I created a podcast called 100 Sisters on Security, covering critical gender justice issues such as Indigenous rights and forest defence, peace and the Canadian Armed Forces, the marginalization of Muslims im/migrants, and climate and gender-responsive financing. Guests have included the only Canadian woman military observer to actively verify the ceasefire in Guatemala in 1997, as well as a Ha-ma-yas Stewardship Network Guardian for the Da’naxda’xw/Awaetlala First Nation.

What It Means
To Vote Green

  • It means putting communities first. Green MPs have the freedom to vote based on local priorities, not party politics. We stand firmly for Canadian communities and values against all threats.

  • It means fighting for economic fairness. Our plan provides cost-of-living relief for working Canadians while protecting jobs and businesses from economic disruptions.

  • It means building lasting prosperity. Our climate strategy creates good jobs and strong communities that can weather future challenges. We plan for generations, not election cycles.
