OTTAWA – The Green Party of Canada is proud to introduce its new brand identity, marking a fresh era of bold leadership, collective action, and renewed commitment to a sustainable future. At the heart of this transformation is a striking green circle—simple, memorable, and instantly recognizable. More than just a logo, it is a symbol of a thriving, sustainable planet and a global call to action: Go Green.
“This new brand reflects who we are: a movement committed to real change, ready to take action for people and the planet,” said Jonathan Pedneault, Co-Leader of the Green Party of Canada. “It’s a rallying cry for those who believe in a greener, fairer future.”
Designed for Impact and Accessibility
The redesign process was rooted in collaboration, bringing together voices from across Canada. Through online workshops, hundreds of Green Party members—from volunteers to MPs—shared diverse perspectives on the party’s identity and vision. This inclusive approach unearthed powerful insights into the key concerns facing Canadians today. These insights were directly infused into the new brand strategy, ensuring that every visual and message reflects the values and aspirations of the movement.
“Having been in leadership roles in the GPC since 2006, this is my first experience in a branding exercise. I am so thrilled to reveal a new look,” said Elizabeth May, Co-Leader of the Green Party of Canada. “By embracing co-leadership we hope Canadians notice how fundamentally different we are from the old-line parties. This new look is part of our 2025 campaign – proudly Canadian, proudly Green.”
The simplicity of the logo is intentional. It allows anyone to recreate it with everyday materials, reinforcing the idea that real change comes from collective action. “We hope the new brand ignites action and inspires change,” said Audey-Ann Turcot-Brochu, Director of Communications & Fundraising at the Green Party of Canada. “This new image is more than a visual update. It’s a statement of intent. The Green Party is stepping forward with a renewed sense of purpose, and the design to match that ambition.”
The new identity was crafted in partnership with Tomorrow, a leading design studio specializing in branding for social impact and the Pangram Pangram Foundry. Greg Durrell, owner and designer at Tomorrow, emphasized the purpose behind the transformation: “We set out to break from politics as usual, creating a bold, fresh alternative for a political brand. Our process unearthed powerful insights into the key concerns facing Canadians, and we infused these insights directly into the brand strategy—ensuring relevance and authenticity in every visual and message.”
With a revitalized brand, the Green Party of Canada is ready to lead with courage and inspire a movement that puts people and the planet first.
